Once you have opened a Kaupthing Edge easy access savings account, you can maximize your return by opting to open one of our fixed term deposit accounts. This means you can put all or part of your savings at a fixed interest rate for a certain period of time. We offer fixed term accounts for 6, 12 or 36 months so you can choose which one is best for you.
This is a secure method of obtaining a higher return on your savings, with up to 7.15% AER* (7.67% gross‡) on a minimum balance of £1,000.
Online banking
Fixed term deposit accounts are opened online and managed over the internet with 24 hour access.
* AER stands for annual equivalent rate and illustrates the interest rate if it was paid and compounded once each year. Term account interest is paid on term maturity.
‡Gross is the annualised rate before deduction of tax at basic rate (currently 20%).
