Disclosure of personal information

1. The personal information we hold about you will not be disclosed to anyone other than:
   1. to other Group companies and linked suppliers;

Collection and Use of Information

1. We will collect and review all the information which you give to us, to other Group companies and to linked suppliers. We will also collect and review all the information that we, other Group companies and linked suppliers obtain about you in connection with the terms and conditions, your use of the website, the account or any other products and services you take from us.
2. The information we collect will include information about how you manage and use the account, and payments which are made into the account.
3. The information we collect will help us develop and maintain an up-to-date picture of you as an individual, which we and other Group companies and linked suppliers can use to keep you informed about other products, services and special offers which we (or they) think might interest you. We may tell you about these using one or more of the communication methods.
4. We may use your information to record statistics and carry out research about fraud and our products.
5. We collect the information automatically as part of operating the account, using a range of methods including cookies (small pieces of information which we send to your computer) web logs (information about how you use the website) and similar tracking devices to improve the security of our service.

Data Protection Act

1. For the purposes of the UK Data Protection Act 1998, we are registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner for the provision of internet deposit accounts to UK customers, with registration number Z1160311.
2. You are entitled to receive a copy of any information we hold about you if you write to Customer Services and request it. You will have to pay a fee, as outlined in clause 7.6 (Fees and Tariffs) under ” Data subject access request”.

Personal Use

The services we provide under the terms and conditions are for your personal use only. We do not provide services for businesses, clubs, charities, other organisations or trustees. If we are concerned for customer security reasons that an account may be unsuitable for operation under a power of attorney or upon the authority of an authorised person, we may reject an account application or require the account (if already open) to be closed.

Visiting the website

1. When you visit the website you leave an electronic trail which informs us certain things, including:
   1. number of people that visit the website;
   2. visitor’s IP address;
   3. visitor’s operating system, browser type, screen resolution and country;
   4. website the visitor viewed before the website; and
   5. pages the visitor looked at on the website as well as other ways the visitor used the website.
